Raised Garden Beds Empty Raised Garden Beds

Post by Shhhhh Tue May 12, 2015 2:28 pm

My wooden garden beds were absolutely melting after 10 years. I am changing them out to cinder blocks. Got the idea off of Pinterest. I have been planting my strawberries in the holes and it looks pretty cool. They are two layers high. As I get older and it gets harder to bend over, I can add a row to make it taller. They seem to be working great.

What a great idea!  (It would be nice to see the post I am replying to in this reply page).  Yep, all our wooden landscape boards are like sponges these days. So you put soil in the cinder block holes and the strawberry roots are down in the holes? (wish we could post photos here!)
